bit of a steep learning curve...

but once you get the swing of things it's really fun. my strategy of monopolizing the cheapest lots never fails

quit at 1 million

in endless I eventually stopped playing, got dressed, drove to the store, and came back home and watched tv for a half-hour and the combo was still going. Oh and I also wrote this while it kept going.

it was fun...

but it never got that challenging. The max I had to retry any particular level was twice

It's bad...

awesomely bad! I love Arthur and I love losing at this game.

fun but not very deep

All you need to do is spam wind towers. And the only reason you need to upgrade is when you run out of free space to put another tower. I'm actually writing this while "playing" the game.

fun but flawed

All you have to do is spam flamethrowers. And it only takes $40 to max them out. All you need are 3-4 right at the front for the most part, and save up for bombers for the boss

Broken

I really liked the first Age of War so I'm pretty bummed out that this game is unplayable. Every single time I would start all my units would be killed by meteors. When I switch and focused on catapults they didn't end up doing anything. I started over like 15 times and this happened to me every time. It's hard to play a game when it doesn't let you survive more than 20 seconds.

Definete improvement over the first one

more wiggle room for surviving, and different items can help in certain situations. I can totally see this being a L4D campaign.

part 1: abandoned highway
part 2: empty town (ends at mall basement saferoom)
part 3: face off against other survivors and start generator (pharmacy saferoom)
part 4: car park & escape town
part 5: thru the woods at night back to compound

Definitely sucked me in

but not a fan of the trial-and-error approach to new enemy/obsticle types. And once arrows from the back get introduced they don't sound different than the regular ones, so it's just a gamble as to what action to take. But unlike most people I do actually like the 1 hit kills. It gives a nice sense of tension, and adds to the escaping slave atmosphere.

Great Game

word of advice to anyone playing this. To cut down on clicks during the floating segments with bats, if you right-click after a click you'll continue to float up. Click again to desend again.
